About me
Hello and welcome! My name is Martha Oschwald and I'm a content writer specializing in design businesses. I began my career in 2011 as a German>English translator after a short in-house position. I was working in my field, doing a number of interesting jobs and getting good feedback. Still, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing.
Backtrack to 2007 when I earned my BAs in German Studies and Architecture from the University of Minnesota—Twin Cities. My visual and creative mind was feeling left out! I'd gained valuable writing and proofreading experience as a translator but wanted to bring more fun into the fold.
Fast-forward to 2020/21: we're facing a global pandemic, political changes and a world in crisis. I decided it was also time for a change in my professional life by combining language and design in creative content. As Friedrich Nietzsche explains, "One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star." Thank you to my past and future collaborators for allowing me to embrace my inner chaos and reimagine my business; I promise you there are good things to come.
